Software not up-to-date?
Make sure your Apple Watch and iPhone have been updated to the latest software
Note: Your devices must be versions currently supported by Apple that are capable of running the latest
updates.
Heart rate not showing on the Watch app?
If you dismissed the Health permissions popup during setup, the app may not be able to display pulse
data.
You can fix this easily by doing it manually:
-
On your iPhone: Open the Settings app > scroll to Health > tap Data Access & Devices > tap NIK and toggle all permissions to ON.
-
Alternative (on Watch): Open the Settings app (gear icon) > Health > Apps > NIK and toggle all permissions ON.
Important: If you enabled permissions manually after signup, restart the NIK Watch app before continuing. To do this, close the NIK Watch app by double-clicking the Digital Crown, swipe left on NIK, and tap the red X. Then relaunch the NIK watch app.
Watch and Phone Not Syncing?
If your pulse does not update consistently across both devices after pressing Start on the watch, a quick refresh usually helps:
1. Close the apps:
-
On the Watch: Double-click the Digital Crown, swipe left on the NIK screen, and tap the red X.
-
On the Phone: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and swipe the NIK app up and off.
2. Re-open: Launch NIK on both devices simultaneously to re-establish the real-time link.
3. Restart: If the connection is still lagging, restart both your iPhone and Apple Watch.
